Virtually untouched and unspoilt, Malilangwe (Shangaan for ’cry of the leopard’) is a unique and priceless wilderness heritage in the southeastern corner of the Lowveld of Zimbabwe. Malilangwe presents an unparalleled sanctuary for wildlife conservation in Africa and a model for Private Public Community Partnership (PPCP) and sustainable development programs with surrounding communities.

Malilangwe, occupying an area of 400km2, is undoubtedly one of the most important natural treasures and ecotourism areas on the Continent, and is a crucial breeding ground and nursery for endangered species. Boasting 38 different plant communities and habitat zones, Malilangwe is home to not only the ‘Big 5’, abundant plains game but also acclaimed to be the only known property in Africa where the ‘Little 6’ antelope are also found. The Estate is also home to the highest concentration of raptors in Africa, arguably the world and had over 500 species of birds.
