Feeding Program
The Malilangwe Trust operates its Neighbour Outreach Program (NOP) and development projects in line with Global UNDP Millennium Goals aimed at poverty alleviation and protection of vulnerable persons and groups. The Malilangwe Trust impacts the lives of over 40 000 community villages per month, and works in conjunction and partnership with the local Chiredzi Rural District Council and in collaboration with other local Government agencies.
The Supplementary Feeding Program has been running for over 6 years and at one time was feeding up to 40 000 children daily following the 2002 drought. The program is a joint venture with the Ministries of Education and Culture and Health and Child Welfare.

The program is entirely funded by Malilangwe, and provides a balanced meal to over 27 000 under 5’s and pre-school children daily from 500 different ‘feeding’ points. This equates to 9,7 million meals per year. |
