Development Project
Water provisions

The Lowveld is predominantly dry and surface water is scarce. The Trust has therefore undertaken several projects to improve this situation for the surrounding communities, thus alleviating poverty, and reducing vulnerability of communities in contracting water borne diseases. This has effectively lessened the burden on rural women who can spend much of their productive time searching for water, by providing and creating access to clean water.
These objectives have been achieved through the rehabilitation and provision of materials for several community wells. The drilling and sinkingĀ  of several boreholes in communities and at schools.

Small scale Irrigation projects

Related to the water provision has been the completion and implementation of 5 small scale irrigation schemes in the surrounding areas. Up to 10 000 people benefitĀ  daily from the crops grown and is hoped that in the future this project will grow in independance and the generate income for the local community
